If we miss something in our quote, we cover it
We do not quote over the phone. We come out, look at the wall, look at the switchboard and walk the pipe run before we give you a price.
If we have missed something we should have picked up on that visit, that is our mistake and we carry the cost. You pay the number written on your quote, even if the board work costs us more.
The only thing that moves the price is you changing what you asked for, and we would talk to you before we touch anything.

Every air conditioning and electrical job we do is backed by our lifetime workmanship guarantee.
If a fault is traced back to our workmanship, a connection, a termination, a mount or a run we installed, we come back and fix it at our cost, for as long as you own the property.
It covers our workmanship, not product faults, storm damage, pests, misuse or changes made later by others. The manufacturer warranty still applies to the unit itself.

Who does the install
Coast Electrical and Data Services is based at Forest Glen. We have a team of fully licensed electricians and apprentices with split system aircon accreditations.
Split system installs are a regular part of our week. Because we are the electrician as well, the circuit, the switchboard and the connection are handled by the people already on site. Nothing waits on another trade.
If something needs looking at later, you ring us and you get the same crew who installed it.

What people ask us most
How long from quote to installed?
Quote inside 48 hours of the site visit. The install date depends on the time of year. Through spring we are usually a week or two out. From late November it stretches, because everyone waits until it is hot. If you want it in before Christmas, book before the end of October.
What if my switchboard needs work?
We see it while we are quoting and put it in the price. That is the point of sending an electrician instead of a salesman. You get one number and it does not change on install day.
If we get it wrong and the board needs more than we allowed for, we cover the difference. That is our No Surprise Bill Guarantee.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. Every air conditioning and electrical job we do comes with our lifetime workmanship guarantee. If a fault is due to our workmanship, we fix it at our cost for as long as you own the home. It does not cover product faults, storm damage, pests, misuse or changes made by others.
Which brands do you install?
Mostly Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Fujitsu. They are reliable, quiet and have solid support in Australia. If you already have a unit in mind, we can tell you straight whether it is worth it or not.
Can I supply my own unit?
Yes, we will install a unit you have bought. Worth knowing: if it plays up you deal with the retailer about the warranty, and we cannot help with a fault in a machine we did not supply.
Do you do ducted as well?
Our aircon work is split systems. If you are after ducted, ring us anyway and we will tell you straight whether we can help or point you at someone who can.
What does a split system install cost?
It depends on the size of the unit, the length of the pipe run, the access, and what your switchboard needs. That is why we come out and look rather than guess over the phone. The measure is free and the written quote is fixed.
Are there any government rebates?
No. Queensland's Climate Smart Energy Savers rebate is closed and the Energex PeakSmart cash back ended in December 2025. If someone is advertising a rebate on a new install, ask them to name the scheme.
Which suburbs do you cover?
Across the Sunshine Coast from Forest Glen. Buderim, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Sippy Downs, Kunda Park, Nambour, Palmwoods, Woombye, Caloundra, Kawana, Coolum, Peregian and Noosa. If you sit a bit outside that, ring us and we will tell you.
Are you licensed and insured?
Electrical Licence 88746, ABN 76 649 440 746, fully insured including public liability, and a NECA member. Ask any contractor for their licence number before they touch your board.
